Job summary

Inova Health in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Manager of Clinic Operations Mgmt to lead the Cardiology outpatient services. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, focusing on operational excellence, scheduling, patient access, and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with the Director of Outpatient Practices to ensure efficient workflows, oversee staffing, and implement business strategies that improve patient experience and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 1 year of healthcare leadership experience OR completion of a 12-month healthcare administrative fellowship program AND 2 years of experience in healthcare operations in an ambulatory or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills related to practice processes and workflows.
• Collaborates with the Director of Outpatient Practices or other designated leader to resolve issues within established deadlines.
• Coordinates provider office schedules; monitors patient volumes, access, and level of patient service to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Ensures regulatory compliance with federal and/or state authorities and other external governing authorities.
• Partners with Physician Billing, Patient Financial Services, and Medical Records to identify opportunities for financial improvement.
• Oversees Outpatient Practice in conjunction with the Director of Outpatient Practices or other designated leader to ensure it is performing effectively; may include hiring/training team members, creating and implementing business strategies, managing performance, and delegating tasks.

Mgr Clinic Operations Mgmt Job Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field (or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree)
• Experience : 1 year of healthcare leadership experience OR completion of a 12-month healthcare administrative fellowship program AND 2 years of experience in healthcare operations in an ambulatory or hospital setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing large teams of direct reports
• Practice Management experience
• Deep knowledge Patient Access/Registration/Scheduling as well as clinical operations
