Job summary

American Express GMNS seeks a Manager, Change Risk Assessment to lead risk identification and governance for new products and material changes. You will collaborate with Product, Technology, Digital, Operations and Enterprise Risk to develop risk frameworks and reporting.

You will drive risk assessment work, prepare risk summaries for governance forums, monitor action plans, and help senior leadership understand portfolio health and emerging themes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of operational risk management experience in risk or internal audit.
• Strong project management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with process governance and regulatory/operational standards.
• Analytical problem-solving to identify trends and evaluate risk scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Identify new product or material business changes requiring risk assessment.
• Develop and execute a GMNS risk assessment framework aligned with policies and standards.
• Assist in implementing risk assessment approaches for changes considering BAU and new risks.
• Improve risk assessment methodologies, governance standards and risk taxonomy.
• Collaborate with Product, Technology, Digital, Operations and other BUs to identify risks early.
• Support governance forums with risk summaries, recommendations and executive materials.
• Track mitigation actions and report on portfolio health and emerging themes to leadership.
• Identify cross-program risks and systemic issues across concurrent transformations.
• Develop risk profile reporting and communicate key OR trends to senior management.
