HASI is seeking a Manager to join our finance team in Annapolis, MD. This role will focus on corporate capital raising activities for funding our on-balance sheet investment portfolio. The core responsibilities include supporting transaction structuring, document negotiations, diligence, preparing marketing materials, and participating in bank and rating agency relationship management activities. The person in this role will collaborate across the company and with external parties to support the Vice President – Head of Capital Markets in executing transactions effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
Salary

Responsibilities
- Support capital raising efforts through structuring, negotiating, reviewing documentation, due diligence, preparing marketing materials, financial modeling, and related workflows for debt and equity issuances.
- Assist with maintaining our corporate rating by coordinating annual reviews, preparing meeting materials, and reviewing reports issued by rating agencies.
- Coordinate with banking relationships, maintain contact databases, and track active conversations and fees.
- Analyze and recommend financing structures to optimize HASI’s financing strategy and capital plan.
- Create weekly dashboards summarizing key metrics impacting the capital plan.
- Lead debt compliance monitoring activities, including reviewing compliance certificates, covenant calculations, default checklists, and reporting.
- Perform stress tests on financial covenants and rating metrics; participate in risk management discussions.
- Collaborate with investor relations to maintain the fixed income website and ESG reporting activities.
- Participate in treasury operations, including disbursements and funding procedures.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree; CFA preferred.
- At least 5 years in corporate banking, investment banking, or corporate finance, preferably in financial services or sustainable energy sectors.
- Experience with structuring, negotiating, and executing funding sources like credit facilities, notes, hybrid or convertible structures, or equity.
- Experience working with external parties such as rating agencies, legal counsel, and banking relationships.
Knowledge and Skills
- Proven track record in supporting capital raising initiatives and financial covenant modeling.
- Familiarity with credit facilities, debt markets, and rating agency methodologies.
- Knowledge of derivatives products and financial analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in fast-paced environments.
- Experience with Excel models, Bloomberg, and MS Office.
