Job summary

The University of Akron is seeking a skilled Business Analyst leader to guide our Business Analysis team in redesigning and optimizing campus processes. You will translate business needs into detailed technical specs and mentor analysts across the organization.

Responsibilities include managing projects, coordinating with IT, and delivering testing plans. Experience with Workday modules is preferred, and strong communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience of business or systems analysis and process improvement; 5 years preferred.
• 3 years supervisory experience with a team of business analysts recommended.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with all levels of employees and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in process improvement and change management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct redesign, analysis, development, implementation and support of business processes and systems for institution’s business units.
• Lead business process re-engineering teams for complex redesign.
• Liaise between business units and IT staff for technology solutions and process improvement.
• Translate high-level requirements into detailed specifications for technology staff.
• Provide status updates, reports and presentations to stakeholders.
• Prepare testing plans and maintain test scripts; conduct testing for upgrades and enhancements.
• Maintain system configurations and training documentation; provide user training.
