BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST - Manager, Technology

The Job

The Business Systems Analyst supports the Healthcare Services department by identifying technology-driven solutions to business needs, evaluating new technologies, and designing business requirements, enhancements, and processes to facilitate technology implementation. The role involves supporting modules such as Care Management, Utilization Management, Care Coordination, GAD, and Claims within our primary technology platforms. Acting as a liaison, the analyst elicits, analyzes, defines, and documents requirements to resolve business challenges through technology.

You Will

  1. Support and oversee projects related to clinical and non-clinical customer service innovation, technology evaluation, and implementation.
  2. Develop business requirements for new technological support systems (e.g., telephony, campaign management, CRM, care management platform) to enhance service delivery.
  3. Collaborate on evaluating and assessing existing service platforms and business rules to ensure compliance and improve member outcomes, working effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Design current and future state processes, evaluate new technologies for business fit, and manage project plans to meet milestones and KPIs.
  5. Lead program efforts for system integrations with platforms such as CRM, telephony, AI technologies, and care management tools, ensuring alignment with SCAN’s vision.
  6. Capture and document functional and technical requirements, producing specifications like BRDs, user stories, and data models.
  7. Assist in preparing departmental budgets, program evaluations, and management presentations.
  8. Recruit, hire, and develop staff, providing coaching and performance feedback.
  9. Deeply understand the people, processes, technologies, and data within the care coordination and management platforms and broader organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with internet, intranet, extranet, EDI, and client/server architectures
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience creating business requirements documents (BRD, FDD, RTM, EPIC, User Stories)
  • At least 5 years’ experience applying business requirements methodologies (business process flows, UML, use case models) in healthcare clinical operations
  • Experience with large-scale change management initiatives preferred
  • Familiarity with MHK (Scan Case Management Platform) FAST
  • CRM platform experience preferred
  • Proven ability to coordinate diverse teams to achieve program success
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Outcome-oriented, creative, and iterative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, quality and service focused, capable of working independently
  • Excellent planning, critical thinking, and organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong data orientation with ability to incorporate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion goals
  • Proven success in managing innovation and technology implementation initiatives
  • Experience documenting business, technology, and data requirements
  • Strong program management skills, utilizing analytics and user research
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills; proficient in MS Office
