Job summary

Hyundai Mobis is seeking a BOM/EO Control Manager in Georgia to lead the BOM and Engineering Order processes. You will coordinate with HQ Engineering/Design teams, manage SAP PP and MES systems, and drive EO implementations across plant departments.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive manufacturing, leadership experience, and strong communication skills to collaborate with multiple teams and suppliers. 95% office, 5% production floor environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a complex, high-volume automotive manufacturing environment.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first contact for Engineering Change (BOM) with HMGMA.
• Manage SAP Material Master: create parts, maintain MRP view, routing, costs.
• Maintain SAP PP module (LTP, MRP, PIR, backlog, production results).
• Maintain production BOM in SAP/MES (part info, effective point).
• Track material consumption for closing and inventory accuracy.
• Distribute PART LIST MASTER to all departments.
• Coordinate EO implementation with plant departments.
• Oversee EO part changes and EO communications internally/externally.
• Manage EO systems (PLM G-EPI, SAP).
• Project Manager for Pilot car: planning, EO control, milestones.
• Maintain Work order in MES (line assembly code, broadcast data, barcode data).
• Produce monthly backlog deletion, BOM accuracy, EO status reports.

Overview

The BOM/EO Control Manager is responsible for managing all areas of the Bill Of Material and Engineering Order. This position requires frequent communication with HQ Engineering/Design team & HMGMA Spec Team.

Responsibilities

(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

• Initial point of contact for Customer (HMGMA) Engineering Change, including BOM
• SAP Material Master management – create part numbers and maintain info (MRP view, Work center, Routing, Production version, Standard cost, Module no)
• Maintain SAP PP Module process and implementation (LTP, MRP, PIR, Backlog, Production result adjustment complete/component)
• Maintain production BOM in SAP/MES (Part no, Material information, Effective Point Information)
• Material consumption tracking for material closing and inventory accuracy (weekly, Monthly)
• Maintain and distribute PART LIST MASTER to all departments
• Able to track material history for obsolescence or gain/loss items
• Follow up with IT team for SAP system improvement from a user standpoint
• Coordinate EO implementation with all plant departments
• Manage EO part changes (EO alert, 1st sequence recording, EO communications internal/external)
• EO info management (participating in internal/external EO meetings, tracking upcoming EPI)
• Maintain EO systems (PLM G-EPI, SAP)
• Project Manager role for Pilot car (Planning, EO control, Master part list, communication with customer, Project milestone)
• Maintain Work order Process and production information in MES (Line assembly code, Broadcast data, Foolproof barcode key data)
• Monthly report for backlog deletion, BOM accuracy, EO status, long-pending EO
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field
• 5 or more years of related experience in a complex and diversified high-volume manufacturing environment within the automotive industry
• 1 or more years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Proven leadership skills
• Strong interpersonal skills in problem solving and conflict resolution
• Must be an effective communicator with the ability to motivate subordinates
• Strong ability to take decisive action in a fast-paced environment
• Must possess computer skills that include Microsoft Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
