Job summary

Chanel seeks a National Manager to lead skills development and technical training for the alterations team across the United States. The role involves delivering training in boutiques and centralized settings, driving adoption of digital tools, and traveling domestically and internationally to sites and training locations.

The ideal candidate will map skill levels, conduct evaluations, and partner with People & Organization, boutique management, and product teams to elevate alteration services

Qualifications

• Expert tailoring techniques including leather, knits, double-face, beading, buttonholes, and perfect fit.

• Partner with Boutique Management and P&O to conduct skills evaluations and support recruitment of Alterationists and Apprentices.
• Develop, animate, and deliver training sessions, CHANEL & moi seminars, and follow‑up coaching for alteration teams.
• Drive adoption of key digital tools (ACET, Repair and Alteration App, IFL) and collaborate to improve boutique alteration KPIs.
• Recommend equipment, workshop organization, and architectural features for Alterations School and optimize learning environments.

Summary

National Manager responsible for the skills development and technical training of alterations team members across the U.S. Leads assessments, builds and animates learning paths, and delivers technical training both in boutiques and centralized learning environments. Supports adoption of digital tools and collaborates with People & Organization, boutique management, and product teams to improve alteration services and KPIs. This role requires travel to boutiques and training sites domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Assess technical tailoring and client relationship skills to map skill levels and identify development needs.
• Partner with Boutique Management and P&O to conduct skills evaluations and support recruitment of Alterationists and Apprentices.
• Develop, animate, and deliver training sessions, CHANEL & moi seminars, and follow‑up coaching for alteration teams.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in a tailoring or alteration workshop with expert fitter‑level expertise.
• Mastery of sewing and tailoring techniques including leather, knits, double‑face, beading, buttonholes, and perfect fit/fitting ceremony.
• Proven training, presentation, public speaking, and one‑on‑one coaching skills with strong interpersonal ability.
• Basic PowerPoint and Excel skills; autonomy and ability to plan and organize.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds, sit or stand for extended periods, bend, reach and kneel periodically; willingness to travel up to 30% domestic and international.
