Job summary

Kohl’s is seeking a senior analytics leader to drive AI/ML initiatives for marketing and retail performance in Wisconsin. You will develop causal models for promo calendars, explainers for YOY drivers, and copilots for insight discovery, coordinating across teams and stakeholders.

The role focuses on leading predictive modeling, optimization, and data-driven decision making, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, mentoring, and delivering measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in quantitative areas such as Applied Mathematics, Data Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant analytics experience.
• Experience coding in general-purpose languages (Python, R, SAS).
• Experience with developing and scaling predictive models and optimization algorithms for marketing use cases.
• MBA and/or Master's or PhD in hard sciences, computer science, engineering or other applicable field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Use AI/ML to explore new opportunities at Kohl’s, including causal models for promo-calendar decisions, gen-AI copilots for insight discovery, and explainer models for year-over-year performance drivers such as pricing, promotions, and media.
• Guide store performance-driving tactics using store performance explainer models, including labor optimization.
• Oversee test activation, ensuring model runs, segmentation, and timelines are provided to key stakeholders.
• Document analytics assets and tests and capture insights.
• Manage and influence direct reports, systems, and projects to achieve unit goals according to Kohl’s policies and practices.
• Provide leadership through influence and expertise and drive results.
• Create and promote an effective work environment through a common vision, clear objectives, teamwork, recognition, and open communication.
• Develop staff through coaching, performance feedback, assessments, and performance and development plans.
• Influence, collaborate, and partner with teams and leaders across the organization.
• Perform additional assigned tasks.
