Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data scientist to identify and source relevant data from multiple business domains, ensure data quality, and develop data strategies aligned with business objectives.

You will design, validate, and tune predictive models, create data visualizations, and collaborate with UX/UI teams. Translate requirements into analytical solutions, deploy and monitor models in production, and write code for data science initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field with 4+ years in analytics, or Master's with 2+ years, or 6+ years in analytics.
  • Strong expertise in predictive analytics, ML algorithms, and hypothesis testing.
  • Proficiency in Python and data visualization tools (Matplotlib/Plotly/Tableau).
  • Experience with data strategy, governance, and scalable storage solutions.
  • Ability to validate and tune models using appropriate metrics.
  • Advanced analytical modeling techniques and deployment knowledge.
  • Excellent communication to present insights and guide teammates.

Job description

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 4 years' experience in an analytics-related field; OR Master's degree in one of these fields and 2 years' experience; OR 6 years' experience in an analytics or related field

  • Strong expertise in predictive analytics, machine learning algorithms, and statistical hypothesis testing

  • Proficiency in Python

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Plotly, or Tableau

  • Experience with data strategy, data quality standards, governance, and scalable data storage solutions

  • Ability to assess, validate, and tune models using relevant evaluation metrics

  • Advanced analytical modeling techniques

  • Knowledge of deploying and monitoring models in production environments

  • Effective communication skills to present data insights and guide junior team members
