Job summary

Jobtailor in Wisconsin seeks a data science leader to develop, test, and curate statistical and machine learning models for customer strategy within Marketing. You will partner with executives to guide analytics-driven decision making and co-develop marketing tech with IT.

Your work includes data curation, model methodologies, and ROI demonstrations through PoC projects. You will manage Github projects, lead steering groups, and potentially lead UAT testing while delivering actionable insights

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
• Experience coding in Java, Python, C++
• Experience developing, testing, and curating statistical and machine learning models
• Experience using RDBMS such as Teradata or MSSQL Server
• Experience with cloud offerings (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Experience using Github for version control
• Experience using Hadoop frameworks (Hortonworks, Cloudera, MapR)
• Strong collaboration and results-driven mindset
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-changing environments
• Strong communication and data visualization skills (Jupyter Notebooks, R Shiny, Tableau)
• Master’s or Ph.D. preferred
• 4+ years of relevant Data Science/Applied Math/IT experience preferred

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Experience coding in general purpose languages, e.g. Java, Python, C++
• Experience developing, testing, and curating statistical and machine learning models
• Experience using traditional RDBMS, e.g. Teradata, MSSQL Server
• Experience using cloud offerings, e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP
• Experience using software version control, e.g. Github
• Experience using any flavor of the Apache Hadoop Framework, e.g. Hortonworks, Cloudera, MapR
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships and achieve results by working collaboratively with others
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment while prioritizing and managing multiple tasks
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including experience with data visualization technologies such as Jupyter Notebooks, R Shiny, and Tableau
• Master’s Degree or Ph.D in the hard sciences, computer science, engineering or other applicable field (preferred)
• 4+ years of relevant Data Science, Applied Mathematics, and/or IT experience (preferred)
