Job summary

Armada is seeking a Senior AR Manager to oversee the daily operations of client deductions, including product and freight claims, from inception to resolution, aligning with Armada's strategic objectives.

You will lead a deductions team, develop policies, drive root-cause analysis, and partner with cross-functional groups to resolve issues, present findings to leadership, and implement process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 6+ years AR managerial experience.
• 3 years AR experience with deductions/claims/disputes/collections.
• 3 years of people leadership experience.
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a deductions team, ensuring adequate coverage and accountability.
• Manage product, freight, overage, shortage, and damage claims from inception through resolution.
• Responsible for final resolution/disposition of denied claims.
• Perform trend analysis and root cause analysis to reduce future deductions.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and technology initiatives.
• Partner with Customer Service, AR, AP, Supply Chain, DCs, Vendors, and Account Management to resolve deduction issues.
• Present findings and recommendations to leadership.
• Manage escalations and disputed claims.
• Coach, develop, and evaluate employees.
• Educates organization and external stakeholders on compliance with deductions and claims policies.
• Responsive, assertive, and courteous but firm in managing relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal cross functional partners.

Summary:This positionis responsible foroverseeing thedaily operations ofArmada’sclient deductions including product andfreightclaims,frominceptionto resolution ofdeductionswhile emphasizingthe company’s strategicobjectivessurroundingdeductions, including trendand root causeanalysis and reduction/elimination ofdeduction volume. The ideal candidate willpossesskeen dispute resolution skills, be adept at regulatory guidance research, and be heavilyprocessand policy driven. In order toprovidecomprehensivedeductionsguidance toexecute,support,andgrow the business,the candidate must be able tosuccessfully develop and foster relationships both inside and outside of Armada, and be comfortable presenting to and speaking with Armada leadership.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance or a minimum of 6+ Years AR Managerial experience.
• 3 years of AR experience, preferably involving deductions, claims, disputes, or collections.
• 3 years of people leadership experience.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, analytics, reporting).
• Experience creating KPIs and operational reporting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Process improvement and internal control experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with product and freight claims.
• Background in transportation, logistics, distribution, or foodservice industries.
• Experience presenting trends and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Power BI experience.
