Job description

What we need:

The Manager Accounting is a first‑level manager that oversees the day‑to‑day accounting functions and financial reporting activities of an accounting team. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and develop a team of accounting professionals.

What you’ll do:
  • Maintain Sarbanes‑Oxley Act compliance by verifying the accuracy of methods and controls according to GAAP.
  • Manage SAP integrity and ensure the accuracy of transactions performed with the receiving and payment of goods in the accounting system.
  • Oversee month‑end closing processes: journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, systems interface, inter‑company balancing, and allocations inventory control.
  • Ensure that clerks and technicians are performing their duties properly and efficiently.
  • Prepare yearly budgets for operations by gathering and preparing the documentation.
  • Lead monthly variance review meetings with management and present monthly variances to management for them to be sufficiently informed of financial data.
  • Manage the global reconciliation tool to include working collaboratively with the segments to ensure all account reconciliations are prepared and reviewed monthly.
  • Manage the lease process to ensure policies and procedures are being followed globally.
  • Supervise less experienced team members, review the work and analysis performed by those team members, and provide guidance on more complex transactions and reconciliations.
  • Serve as audit liaison for both Internal and External auditors and manage SOX activities for the Corporate Accounting Group.
  • Identify areas of improvement within the accounting department to increase efficiencies and develop streamlined accounting processes, implementing solutions accordingly.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
What you have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 6‑8 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 1‑3 years of management experience.
  • CPA certification preferred.
