Job summary

Texas State Technical College (TSTC) invites applicants for the Manager, Accelerated Training to lead and expand non-credit training programs for external partners across the state. You will develop, implement and administer curricula, coordinate with industry, and ensure programs generate revenue while meeting regional workforce needs.

The role requires budgeting, supervising staff, navigating contracts, and building strong relationships with workforce boards, chambers, and employers.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of management or leadership experience in business or industry.
  • 4 years of experience with managing budgets and comprehensive projects.
  • 3 years of project management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, market, supervise and coordinate training activities for customized grant and/or contract training.
  • Oversee budgets and monitor expenditures of funds budgeted for the projects.
  • Coordinate employment documents and supervise trainers and staff assigned to active projects and contracts.
  • Stewards and maintains relationships with Workforce Investment Boards, economic development corporations, City Chambers, community colleges, the Texas Workforce Commission, employers, and industry associations.
  • Collaborate across departments to achieve shared goals and maximize impact.
  • Ensure timely, high-quality project completion and manage multiple contracts.
