Overview
The Manager, Accelerated Training is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering training programs for external partners. The role deploys programs that generate profitable revenue and meet the needs of area industries, while supervising, budgeting, and directing the implementation and establishment of non-credit projects within the assigned region of Texas. This is a full‑time, salaried, exempt position with an anticipated salary range of $64,000–$67,000 plus full state benefits. Salary determination will be based on background and experience.
Essential Functions
- Demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students, and community members.
- Manage the development, marketing, supervision, coordination, and execution of all training and instructional activities for customized grant and/or contract training in collaboration with industry partners within a specified region of TSTC’s statewide footprint.
- Oversee operating budgets and monitor expenditures of funds budgeted for the projects for which the Manager is responsible.
- Coordinate employment documents for customized training projects and supervise trainers, instructors, and administrative staff assigned to active projects and contracts.
- Steward and maintain relationships with individuals and stakeholders responsible for business and industry in the state of Texas, including Workforce Investment Boards, economic development corporations, city chambers, community colleges, the Texas Workforce Commission, employers, and industry and professional associations.
- Exercise strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient project completion. Manage multiple contracts and projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, maintain structured processes, and deliver high‑quality results efficiently.
- Exhibit a strong aptitude for collaborating across departments and functions to achieve shared goals and maximize impact.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Associate’s Degree in a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, except where a specific degree is required to meet accreditation standards, licensure requirements, or other regulatory obligations.
- Minimum of 1 year of required management or leadership experience in business or industry.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience managing budgets, comprehensive projects, and knowledge of evaluation methods.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated ability in project management.

Work Environment & Additional Information
- In‑campus position requiring physical presence at a campus location at least three days per week.
- May require occasional travel to different office locations and events.
- Ability to perform essential physical tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, lifting, or other job‑specific movements as needed.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed.
- Full‑time, 40‑hour work week; salaried, exempt under the FLSA.
- Position is not ORP eligible.
