Position
Program Planning and Scheduling Manager 2 - Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, Sunnyvale, CA.
Onsite 9/80 schedule.
Responsibilities
- Manage all scheduling efforts and schedule baselines.
- Provide site schedulers with day-to-day hands-on support, guidance, troubleshooting, and satisfaction of programmatic requirements.
- Act as a change agent, fostering an environment of trust, compliance, continuous improvement, and learning.
- Perform project management, managing multiple priorities against ambitious timelines.
- Support and coordinate internal and external surveillance audits.
- Ensure full compliance with corporate and sector scheduling processes and procedures, focusing on NGMS and Earned Value Management System implementation.
- Provide support to bids, bid reviews, integrated baseline reviews, and internal projects.
- Advise business managers in integrating project schedules with Earned Value Management.
- Attend site business-management meetings to define schedule needs and coordinate resource allocation.
- Assist the sector scheduling group in evaluating goals and objectives for site schedulers.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher with eight years of related experience, or a Master's degree with six years of related experience (or twelve years of experience in lieu of a degree).
- Four years of hands-on experience in Program Planning or Scheduling using Microsoft Project.
- Strong understanding of project management and earned-value management principles applicable to complex projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Experience using Schedule Health Analysis and Monte-Carlo schedule-risk assessment tools.
- Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration or an engineering-related field.
- Experience in a DoD manufacturing or engineering-development environment.
- Production scheduling experience and familiarity with MRP.
- Familiarity with Earned-Value tools (e.g., Cobra).
- Experience applying integrated cost/schedule and critical-path methodologies within an EVMS environment.
- Familiarity with NDIA’s Planning and Scheduling Excellence Guide.
- Experience in aerospace and/or defense programs and familiarity with IPMDAR.
- Current active DoD Secret security clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $146,600.00 - $219,800.00.
