Job summary

Subway is seeking a Manager to focus on guest experience, food safety, and team leadership in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will oversee staff training, daily operations, and compliance with health and safety standards while ensuring high standards of cleanliness and customer service.

The role involves recruiting and rewarding team members, managing inventory, and supporting local marketing initiatives to drive sales. Training will be provided; compensation discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in a restaurant environment with supervising/training experience.
• Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to interact with all levels of staff.
• Computer knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent guest experience and ensure great food is prepared and served.
• Maintain safety and security protocols and ensure compliance with health codes.
• Recruit, train and supervise staff while managing inventory and money control systems.

Job description

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Manager will focus on eight main things:

In addition to the role of a Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Recruiting and rewarding outstanding Team members
• Ensuring safety and security protocols are followed. Including being aware of local and national healthy and food safety codes
• Maintaining business records and analyzing them to help increase sales
• Identifying and contacting prospective Guests to promote sales
• Supporting local and national marketing initiatives, ensuring restaurant is ready on every level for the beginning of a new marketing window
• Planning special events and promotions

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred

Experience

A minimum of 2 years in a restaurant environment, experience in supervising and training staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is essential.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
