Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles is seeking a qualified manager to oversee operations of housing developments and related programs. The role involves supervising staff across maintenance, clerical, and professional domains, ensuring policy compliance, and representing the Authority in community and interagency contexts.
Responsibilities include budget review, lease and program enforcement, and addressing complex tenant or program issues.

Positions within this classification work under general direction, and are responsible for the overall operation and management or oversight of an assigned housing development within the traditional Public Housing portfolio, the Application Center, property management within the Asset Management portfolio, or a housing program within the Housing Choice Voucher Department. Incumbents are also responsible for planning and maintaining work systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage the optimum performance of staff and other resources within the assigned unit.
Graduated from accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Science or closely related field.
One (1) year of increasingly responsible professional level experience in a supervisory capacity in a property management setting or in the public sector providing social service programs to low-income people in fields such as public housing, fair housing, social welfare, public health, employment service, counseling, vocational guidance, or a related field.
Receipt of PHM, CPM or equivalent certification required within one year of hire.
