Job summary

Subway is seeking a Manager to lead daily operations, ensuring an excellent guest experience, top-notch food safety, and a clean, functional restaurant. You’ll manage inventory, money controls, and local marketing efforts while recruiting and developing staff.

You’ll also be responsible for maintaining records, analyzing performance to boost sales, and coordinating promotions and events in a fast-paced environment. Full time/part time shifts vary by location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• Experience: minimum 2 years in a restaurant environment, with supervision/training experience
• Must be an excellent communicator and comfortable using a computerized POS system

Responsibilities

• Recruit and reward outstanding team members
• Ensure safety and security protocols are followed and food safety codes are adhered to
• Maintain business records and analyze data to help increase sales
• Identify and contact prospective guests to promote sales
• Support local and national marketing initiatives and prepare for new marketing windows

Job description

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Manager will focus on eight main things:

In addition to the role of a Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Recruiting and rewarding outstanding Team members
• Ensuring safety and security protocols are followed. Including being aware of local and national healthy and food safety codes
• Maintaining business records and analyzing them to help increase sales
• Identifying and contacting prospective Guests to promote sales
• Supporting local and national marketing initiatives, ensuring restaurant is ready on every level for the beginning of a new marketing window
• Planning special events and promotions

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred

Experience

A minimum of 2 years in a restaurant environment, experience in supervising and training staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is essential.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
