Job description

Lead the Way as a Store Manager at JuiceWell Hedwig Village!

Are you ready to take the reins and make an impact every single day? At JuiceWell Hedwig Village, located in Houston, TX, we’re looking for a dynamic and hands‑on Store Manager to lead our team and create an exceptional experience for both employees and customers. If you’re someone who thrives on the floor, not behind a desk, and loves the challenge of running a fast‑paced operation, this is the role for you!

What You’ll Be Doing

As the Store Manager, you’ll be the go‑to person for your team and customers, ensuring everything runs smoothly from open to close. Here’s a closer look at your key responsibilities:

Staffing & Scheduling
  • Build and publish the weekly schedule on time, every week.
  • Approve shift swaps, handle time‑off requests, and manage availability changes.
  • Quickly address call‑ins and no‑shows by finding coverage fast.
  • Spot staffing gaps early and assist with recruiting before you’re short‑handed.
Daily Operations
  • Open and close the store to standard and ensure everything is running like clockwork.
  • Be on the floor during peak hours, supporting your team and jumping in when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and health‑code‑compliant environment.
  • Report equipment and maintenance issues promptly.
  • Keep inventory stocked and order supplies before running low.
Team Leadership
  • Act as the first point of contact for your team—answer questions, solve problems, and make decisions.
  • Provide coaching and feedback directly and promptly.
  • Lead onboarding and training for new hires.
  • Recognize and recommend team members for growth opportunities.
Financial & Reporting
  • Monitor daily sales and labor costs, flagging concerns early.
  • Approve timecards and ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling and POS reconciliation for every shift.
  • Send a concise weekly update on staffing and store status to ownership.
What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a leader who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved. Here’s what you’ll need to succeed:

  • At least 1 year of experience managing or leading a team in food service, retail, or hospitality.
  • Comfort with scheduling tools and POS systems (we’ll provide training on ours).
  • A hands‑on leadership style—someone who leads by example on the floor.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to give direct, respectful feedback.
  • Reliability, organization, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain one).
Schedule

This is a full‑time position, and availability must include some early mornings, evenings, and weekends based on store needs.

Why Join JuiceWell?

At JuiceWell Hedwig Village, we believe in empowering our team members and fostering a supportive environment. Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Real ownership over a store and a team—your leadership will make a difference every day.
  • A leadership team that’s approachable and always within reach.
  • Opportunities to grow as JuiceWell continues to expand.
