Management Trainee - Southeastern Freight Lines

Position Overview: As a Management Trainee, you will participate in our Operations Management Trainee Program. This is an entry-level training position with an intensive 16-week program designed to prepare you for your initial role in operations. Under the guidance of a mentor, you'll learn the fundamentals of the transportation industry, cross-dock operations, leadership communication, and relationship building. Upon completing the program, relocation to another facility for your first leadership role in Operations will be required.

Responsibilities:

• Complete the leadership training program through guided and independent study.
• Collaborate with Support Center and Service Center associates on various training aspects.
• Observe an Account Manager during customer sales calls.
• Accompany drivers on local delivery routes to understand freight delivery processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation or Logistics, or at least two years of related work experience.
• Acceptable driving history according to company standards.
• Flexibility to relocate as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including effective listening.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Basic computer skills and a strong work ethic.
