Job description

This position is located in resilience in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate has experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic front office environment. Experience includes validating requirements and assigning team work to directly support senior leadership goals and objectives within an action office.

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this position at the GS-09 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:

  • Assisting with tracking, routing, and completing inquiries, correspondence, taskers, or action items in a front office, action office, or similar setting; AND
  • Reviewing incoming requests for completeness and coordinating with team members to meet deadlines; AND
  • Providing administrative or program support to help meet senior leadership priorities.

OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.

To qualify for this position at the GS-11 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:

  • Validating requirements, clarifying tasking instructions, and coordinating assignments in a front office, action office, or similar setting; AND
  • Managing inquiries, correspondence, taskers, or action items from intake through completion; AND
  • Reviewing work products for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with office procedures.

OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M.

To qualify for this position at the GS-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:

  • Managing front office, action office, or similar operations by validating requirements, routing assignments, and aligning work with leadership priorities; AND
  • Overseeing inquiries, correspondence, taskers, or action items to ensure timely and accurate completion; AND
  • Advising staff or leadership on correspondence management, action tracking, workflow, or office procedures.
