Job summary

Qualifications

  • 1 year of specialized experience at GS-07 or equivalent in analyzing geospatial information products (e.g. ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap).
  • At least one year of specialized experience at the GS-07 level, or 2 years of graduate education leading to a related degree, or an equivalent combination.
  • Experience analyzing geospatial information and assisting in developing solutions for operational needs.

Job description

This position is located in the office of Response and Recovery, Response Directorate, National Watch Center The ideal candidate for this position will have impeccable customer service skills and experience working as a team member, serving as a geospatial analyst providing support to disaster operations, and facilitating program readiness and preparedness. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

To qualify for this position at the GS-09 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:

  • Analyzing geospatial information products (e.g. Arc Pro, Arc Map ect); and
  • Assisting in analysis to formulate solutions to problems encountered during operations.

OR

2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

LL.B. or J.D., if related Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

Combination of education and experience

To qualify for this position at the GS-11 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:

  • Analyzing and managing geospatial information products (e.g. Arc Pro, Arc Map ect); and
  • Using analysis to formulate solutions to problems encountered during operations.

OR

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

LL.M., if related

OR

Combination of education and experience

To qualify for this position at the GS-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.   • Analyzing and managing geospatial information products (e.g. Arc Pro, Arc Map ect); and

  • Carrying out complex studies and evaluation of emergency management programs.
