Job summary

NYC Department of Social Services is seeking a Management Auditor I to join the BORAC team at 4 WTC/150 Greenwich Street, NY. The role centers on auditing bank accounts, disbursements and cost allocations for the Cash Assistance program, with emphasis on accurate reporting and audit readiness.

Responsibilities include posting and reconciling ledgers, coordinating with DOF and DSS bureaus, and ensuring adherence to GAAP/GAGAS standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with 24 credits in auditing/finance or related field and one of the listed licenses.
• One year of full-time experience in performance auditing per GAGAS, financial or IT auditing.
• CPA (NYSED) or IIA CIA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Agency public assistance bank accounts and analyze issuances/disbursements.
• Post issuances, disbursements and cancellations to ledgers for audits and reconciliations.
• Review cost allocations to ensure proper budgeting and charge structures.
• Liaise with DOF, OBA, BOASP, BAP, DARB and other agencies for compliance.
