Job summary

The City of New York seeks a Management Auditor I in the Bureau of Reconciliation and Control to supervise bank accounts, analyze disbursements, and perform detailed audits for the Cash Assistance program.

Primary duties include posting ledger entries, verifying cost allocations, and coordinating with multiple city and state agencies to ensure compliance with the Office of the Comptroller standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 24 credits in auditing/accounting/finance/economics/statistics, or related field.
• One of: (a) 1 year of relevant auditing experience; (b) NYS CPA license; (c) IIA CIA certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare agency public assistance bank accounts and analyze issuances and disbursements.
• Post monthly issuances, disbursements and cancellations to ledgers for audits and reconciliations.
• Review cost allocations to ensure expenditures align with budgets and records.
• Liaise with banking institutions, OBA, BOASP, BAP, DARB, DOF and the Office of the Comptroller.
