Job summary

The U.S. Air Force is seeking an Air Reserve Technician to supervise the squadron's Prime Base Engineering Emergency Force (BEEF) and Mobility programs, including CE and Fire Protection.

The role involves coordinating deployments, managing budgets, data analysis, and planning annual tours with Base Civil Engineers across CONUS and overseas. Ideal candidates will meet Air Force Reserve requirements, be a United States citizen, and be prepared for potential TDY assignments along with relocation

Qualifications

• Must be a United States Citizen
• Preferred Military AFSC and Grade: 3E6X1
• Position may require a background security investigation to determine suitability for employment and/or a security clearance
• Males must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide
• A relocation and retention incentive of 25% of basic pay each year for up to three years will be authorized. Completion of a 2-year service agreement is required

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage squadron/flight mobility and deployment plans to meet worldwide contingencies. Plan and organize all administrative activities and processes for the organization.

Job description

The primary purpose of this Air Reserve Technician (ART) position is to supervise the squadron/flight Prime Base Engineering Emergency Force (BEEF) and Mobility programs, which includes unit civil engineering (CE) and Fire Protection.

Duties

• Assist the senior Air Reserve Technician (ART) in the development of requirements and management of the Prime Base Engineering Emergency Force (BEEF) and Mobility programs for the Civil Engineer squadron/flight.
• Collect and analyze all data for the management of unit Prime BEEF and mobility equipment supplies and equipment. Develop and manage operating budget/financial plan requirements.
• Coordinate and plan annual tours with host Base Civil Engineers within Continental United States (CONUS) and overseas in conjunction with the program manager during pre-deployment and deployment site visits.
• Develop and manage squadron/flight mobility and deployment plans to meet worldwide contingencies. Plan and organize all administrative activities and processes for the organization.
• Manage all aspects of the current Contingency Operation and Management Personnel Execution System (COMPES) listing and coordinate with deployment officer and review tasking.

Requirements

• Must be a United States Citizen
• Travel and relocation expenses will be paid
• Disclosure of Political Appointments is required
• Preferred Military AFSC and Grade: 3E6X1
• Position may or will require incumbent to Fly in military and/or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty (TDY) assignments
• Required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities
• Position may require a background security investigation to determine suitability for employment and/or a security clearance
• Males must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide
• Incentive for prior non-federal work experience or active duty uniformed service for determining leave accrual rate is being offered
• A relocation and retention incentive of 25% of basic pay each year for up to three years will be authorized. Completion of a 2-year service agreement is required
• Incentive for Student Loan Repayment Program may be offered
• Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
• Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
