Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, San Francisco Field Office, Office of the DFO, located in San Francisco, California. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

This position starts at a salary of $111,896.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $145,468.00 (GS-12, Step 10).

In this position, you will strengthen the Department's ability to perform homeland security functions by developing policies, conducting special studies, and providing technical assistance. Typical work assignments include: Maintaining the Field Office Table of Organization (T/O); ensuring positions are accurately recorded and that on board data is kept up to date.

Coordinating with the CBP Hiring Center to resolve processing, recruitment, reporting, and other staffing issues. Providing employee performance award and appraisal guidance using knowledge of the laws, regulations, and policies. Overseeing the workers' compensation program for the field office and serves as an Injury Compensation Coordinator (ICC) under the confidential cognizance of the U.S. Department of Labor.

Coordinating with field office and national office staff to ensure that improvement efforts are integrated and support other disciplines and core processes.
