Program Manager (Branch Chief- Field Resilience)

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Enterprise Services, Workforce Care Directorate. Location: Negotiable after your selection. (Must report to a CBP Facility) .

Key Responsibilities

This position is within DHS, CBP Enterprise Services, Workforce Care Directorate, Workforce Operations Division. The role supports Field Resilience Teams that promote employee mental health, strengthen suicide prevention, assist employees and families during personal crises, and connect them with appropriate resources. It also supports CBP-wide resilience and behavioral health program implementation for the workforce and family members.

This position starts at a salary of $125,776.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $163,514.00 (GS-14, Step 10). Major duties include: Coordinating regional support of the workforce and leadership through behavioral health prevention and outreach activities, traumatic incident response, postvention, and staff and leader resilience skills training to employees and their family members, utilizing a team of Subject-Matter-Experts in the areas of workforce resilience and behavioral psychology.

Establishing mission objectives and units of measuring success to enact continuous process improvement and shares these lessons learned upward, downward, and laterally Directing a branch of employees who perform work in the production and delivery of the agency behavioral health prevention and outreach activities, traumatic incident response, postvention, command consultation, staff, and leader training, and applied behavioral science work for employee engagement and resilience Coordinates, communicates, and collaborates to balance complex law enforcement operational, technical, and professional services to coordinate critical incident response and support from CBP that is timely and responsive to the needs of the workforce.
