Job summary

City of Kirkland seeks a Management Analyst to assist in researching, analyzing, and maintaining programs and policies across the organization. The role supports budget development, performance metrics, and reporting to leadership.

The Senior Management Analyst provides complex analytics to inform executive decisions and collaborates with multiple departments and external partners. The position requires strong communication and data analysis skills in a public‑sector setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field as described.
  • 1–3 years of relevant program implementation experience.
  • Equivalent education/experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze operational and management policies and programming.
  • Develop papers, letters, memoranda and presentations for audiences including the public.
  • Facilitate and conduct staff training in use of computer programs and spreadsheets.
  • Develop systems to evaluate productivity and track programs.
  • Represent the Department or City with regional and professional organizations.
  • Apply knowledge of Public Works operations to identify process improvements.
  • Assist with Water Quality coordination.
  • Assist with development and coordination of departmental programs with other agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
