Responsibilities

  • Perform professional-level research, analysis, and reporting on complex administrative, fiscal, operational, and organizational matters.
  • Assist in development, monitoring, and analysis of budgets, including budget-to-actual comparisons and variance explanations.
  • Research, interpret, and apply applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and District policies; aid in drafting administrative policy and procedure documents.
  • Coordinate special projects across multiple departments, tracking timelines, deliverables, and budgets.
  • Conduct surveys, benchmarking studies, and comparative analyses of programs, services, or practices.
  • Assist with coordination and administration of District programs, including human resources, risk management, contracts and procurement, records management, and communications.
  • Prepare and review agenda items, staff reports, resolutions, and related materials for the Board of Directors, committees, or District management.
  • Monitor and summarize legislative updates affecting public sector employers and prepare written summaries and compliance alerts.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets, databases, presentations, and other tools to support data analysis, tracking, and reporting needs.

Management Analyst – NapaSan – Napa, CA

Full‑time, in‑person position (overseas options include a 9/80 schedule). Salary range: $64.04 – 77.84 per hour (Exempt) plus comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform professional‑level research, analysis, and reporting on complex administrative, fiscal, operational, and organizational matters.
  • Assist in the development, monitoring, and analysis of departmental and District‑wide budgets, including budget‑to‑actual comparisons and variance explanations.
  • Research, interpret, and apply applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and District policies; aid in drafting administrative policy and procedure documents.
  • Coordinate special projects across multiple departments, tracking timelines, deliverables, and budgets.
  • Conduct surveys, benchmarking studies, and comparative analyses of programs, services, or practices.

Qualifications (any combination)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university, ideally in public administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of progressively responsible professional experience performing administrative, analytical, budgetary, or program support work, preferably in a public agency setting.
Work Conditions
  • Employees work in an office environment with controlled temperature, moderate noise levels, and no direct exposure to hazardous substances.
  • Occasional night and weekend participation in special events.
