Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Administration in Saint Paul seeks a Management Analyst 3 to design, develop, and manage the financial reporting system for the Facilities Management Division. You will analyze financial reports and provide strategic recommendations to division leadership, while supporting special projects with the Business Operations Manager.

Ideal candidates will have GAAP knowledge, strong Excel and data reporting skills, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly

Qualifications

• Two years of experience analyzing financial data; a bachelor’s degree may substitute for one year.
• Experience interpreting financial documents with GAAP, GASB, and applicable laws and policies.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office including Excel for ad hoc reports.
• Computer skills to design, retrieve, manipulate, and analyze data and prepare letters/reports.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills for independent work within deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to explain technical information.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage the financial reporting system for the Facilities Management Division.
• Analyze and interpret financial reports; provide strategic recommendations to division management.
• Provide administrative support to the Business Operations Manager on special projects.
• Collaborate with the Business Operations and Facilities Management Division team.
