Position Summary & Responsibilities

Position Summary: The Management Analyst position (K0247578) is responsible for acquiring and consolidating vast amounts of data from a range of disparate sources. This involves identifying relevant datasets, ensuring appropriate permissions, and extracting data from EHR systems, medical devices, clinical trial repositories, and insurance claims databases. The process includes rigorous cleaning—addressing missing values, correcting errors, and standardizing formats to produce high-quality, reliable datasets. Organizing this information requires implementing robust data pipelines and storage solutions that facilitate easy access and integration, ultimately laying the foundation for effective analysis and insight generation.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Apply statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to analyze data, identify patterns, and extract actionable insights related to health outcomes, disease trends, and healthcare operations.
  • Once data is prepared, the data scientist leverages advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to uncover trends and relationships within the data. This includes building predictive models to forecast disease progression, identifying at‑risk patient populations, and uncovering operational inefficiencies within healthcare systems.
  • Work closely with doctors, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and IT staff to understand clinical needs, translate business problems into data science projects, and ensure that solutions are practical and ethical. Collaboration is central to the data scientist’s role in healthcare.
  • Create clear and informative visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to clinicians, administrators, and other stakeholders.
