Managed Services Configuration Associate

Full-Time | On-Site / Warehouse & Lab | Entry to Mid-Level Technical Operations

Compensation: $60-70K

• Process-Driven "Rule Follower": You strictly adhere to customer build sheets and written instructions every single time-even on routines you’ve performed hundreds of times. You take no shortcuts, make no guessed settings, and never skip steps. If an instruction is unclear, you flag it immediately and ensure no device leaves the bench that fails required checks.
• Resourceful Troubleshooter: You don't pass off every routine hiccup to someone else. You systematically run through approved diagnostic checks, test likely causes in a logical sequence, and document your findings. You know how to troubleshoot within boundaries-resourcefulness here means being methodical, not improvising or going rogue.
• Disciplined Documenter: You treat documentation as part of the build. You accurately record device serial numbers, SIM identifiers, completed process steps, test results, and anomaly details. Your notes enable anyone on the team to see exactly what failed, what you attempted, and what happened. If the record is incomplete, the work is incomplete.

About the Role

As a Managed Services Configuration Associate for Our Client, you will be responsible for preparing mobile devices (phones and tablets) and Windows laptops so they are fully operational and ready for deployment the moment they reach the end user.

This is hands-on, high-volume, detail-heavy technical execution. On any given day, you will follow customer-specific build sheets, install required software, enroll hardware into device management platforms, test connectivity and settings, apply physical labeling, and record audit data. You will also handle returns, replacements, and device re-imagining/re-preparation for reuse.

This is not a design or engineering role, nor is it basic warehouse packing.

Success means high throughput with zero skipped steps: devices work perfectly out of the box, documentation is 100% accurate, deadlines are met, and errors are caught on the bench before shipping.

Experience & Requirements

Required:

• Hands-on Device Experience: Practical experience setting up, provisioning, or supporting computers/mobile devices through prior work, technical training, or relevant coursework.
• Core Technical Familiarity: Basic understanding of Windows OS setup and routine configuration of Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular networks.
• Proven Precision & Detail Focus: Ability to demonstrate in a practical exercise that you can follow complex written build instructions, test hardware systematically, and keep meticulous log records.

Helpful, but Not Required (Training Provided):

• Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms such as Microsoft Intune or Jamf.
• Exposure to Windows imaging tools, large-scale hardware rollouts, or entry-level IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+).
• Note: Advanced technical/network engineering expertise is not required. However, warehouse or packing experience alone is not sufficient without hands-on hardware/software configuration background.
