Brown University Health's Newport Hospital location seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast needle localizations, and specimen radiographs, while upholding compassion, accountability, respect and excellence in everyday patient care.

You will interview patients, determine screening vs diagnostic imaging indications, perform the standard mammography views, assist radiologists in breast localizations, and participate in QA/QC tasks and patient

Qualifications

• High school graduation and formal radiologic technology training (two years).
• ARRT registered or registry-eligible with intent to pass within one year.
• Rhode Island Radiographer license and CPR certification.

Responsabilités

• Interview patients to obtain medical history and entry into imaging system.
• Differentiate screening vs diagnostic mammograms based on indications and history.
• Perform required mammography views (cranialcaudal, mediolateral, oblique, etc.).
• Set up room using aseptic technique and assist radiologists in breast localizations.
• Maintain QA/QC tests as mandated and report equipment issues.
