• Operates mammography equipment and processes to obtain diagnostic images.
• Prepares procedure room, equipment, supplies, and medications as needed.
• Explains procedures to patients and answers questions while maintaining accuracy of patient records.
• Ensures proper labeling and documentation of exams and completes status in the system.
• Maintains radiation safety, wearing film badges and following universal precautions.
• Communicates supply or equipment issues to supervisor and participates in department teamwork.
