Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AMA accredited radiology program completed.
• ARRT certified in mammography and digital breast tomosynthesis.
• Prior radiology experience preferred, especially in mammography.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammography equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms per orders and protocols.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure timely, accurate results.
• Conduct quality control checks on imaging equipment and maintain MQSA EQUIP criteria.
• Ensure equipment safety and patient shielding; follow HIPAA guidelines.
• Provide orientation and training for new mammography technologists.
