Responsibilities

• Competently performs basic and intermediate screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
• Reviews patient records and histories to gather necessary information.
• Adapts imaging techniques to improve diagnostic quality.
• Evaluates image quality and positioning and repeats images as needed.
• Post-processes images and labels patient information correctly.
• Provides radiologists with pertinent patient history and information.
• Documents billing codes and patient information in the radiology system.
• Assists with patient positioning and safe lifting duties.
• Assesses age-specific patient needs and ensures appropriate care per department policies.
