InterMed is seeking a Mammography Technologist to deliver high-quality mammography studies per InterMed physicians and external orders in accordance with ACR guidelines. The role requires proper patient positioning, compression, QC duties, and tight collaboration with radiologists.

The ideal candidate maintains ARRT in mammography and stays current with MQSA and state regulations, ensuring patient safety and confidentiality per HIPAA and InterMed policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AMA accredited radiology program completion required.
• ARRT certification in mammography, digital mammography and tomosynthesis.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of breast, axilla, and chest wall.
• Ability to use independent judgment.

Responsabilités

• Operate mammography equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Position patients correctly to ensure image quality and comfort.
• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms according to physician orders.
• Minimize radiation exposure through proper positioning and compression.
• Explain procedures and address patient concerns to reduce anxiety.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Coordinate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure timely results.
• Perform QC checks and routine maintenance on imaging equipment.
• Stay current on MQSA EQUIP program requirements and accreditation guidelines.
• Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor promptly.
