Chesapeake Regional Healthcare in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Mammography Technologist to maintain quality patient care in the Mammography department and across the organization.

You will perform high-quality radiographs, ensure radiation safety, verify patient ID, manage RIS entries, and participate in shifts and trainings. Certification required: ARRT, Mammography within 12 months; BLS preferred. Prior experience is a plus.

Qualificações

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Preference for prior experience as a Registered Technologist; new graduates considered.
• ARRT registration is required.

Responsabilidades

• Produce high-quality radiographs through proper positioning and technique.
• Perform visual preventative safety inspections and report equipment conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Enter radiology and laboratory orders, charges, and credits in the RIS and hospital systems.
• Practice radiation safety in accordance with department policies and keep exposure ALARA.
• Follow NRC and state regulations for radiation safety.
• Confirm patient identity prior to procedures.
• Perform procedures as scheduled and rotate calls as needed.
• Attend hospital orientations, meetings, and in-services.
• Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to ensure patient care.
