Job summary

Providence is seeking a Mammography Technologist in Diagnostic Radiology to contribute to breast health in a high-volume outpatient setting. The role focuses on producing high-quality radiographic images and providing compassionate patient care throughout the breast health journey.

This screening-only mammography position requires ARRT registry, state licensure, BLS, and mammography certification within 1 year; prior radiography experience may be preferred depending on location.

Qualifications

  • ARRT registry as required for radiologic technologists.
  • Washington Radiologic Technologist licensure on hire.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association on hire.
  • NR Radiography certification by ARRT on hire.
  • NR Mammography certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiologic procedures specific to breast diagnosis in a high-volume outpatient setting.
  • Produce high-quality radiographic images while delivering compassionate patient care.
  • Participate in quality control activities as mandated by MQSA and FDA.
  • May utilize general radiography skills for diagnostic exams depending on location.

Job description

Mammography Technologist - Diagnostic Radiology. This is a screening only Mammography Tech position.

This position is required to perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high volume outpatient setting. Responsible for producing high quality radiographic images while interacting with all patients in a caring and comforting manner. Jointly responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA. Dependant on location, may be required to utilize general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology exams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Washington Radiologic Technologistupon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Associationupon hire.
  • National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
  • National Registered Technologist - Mammographywithin 1 year of hire.
  • Dependant on location, prior general radiography experience may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of Full-time mammography experience.
