Job summary

Pacific Medical Centers is seeking a Mammography Technologist – Diagnostic Radiology to support breast health services in a high-volume outpatient setting in Seattle. You will perform procedures with a focus on quality imaging and compassionate patient care.

New graduates are welcome; completion of the 48-hour mammography training course is required before starting. On-site support and ongoing professional development are provided.

Qualifications

  • Must have ARRT registry as per MQSA requirements.
  • Washington Radiologic Technologist license upon hire.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Registered Technologist - Radiography upon hire.
  • National Registered Technologist - Mammography within 1 year of hire.
  • Prior general radiography experience may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiologic procedures specific to breast imaging in a high-volume outpatient setting.
  • Produce high-quality radiographic images with patient-centered care.
  • Participate in required quality control activities as mandated by MQSA and FDA.
  • Assist with diagnostic radiology exams where applicable.

Mammography Technologist – Diagnostic Radiology. This is a screening only Mammography Tech position.

This position is required to perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high volume outpatient setting. Responsible for producing high quality radiographic images while interacting with all patients in a caring and comforting manner. Jointly responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA. Dependant on location, may be required to utilize general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology exams.

New graduates from accredited radiologic technology programs are strongly encouraged to apply. While onboarding and comprehensive professional development will be provided, candidates must successfully complete our mandatory 48-hour mammography training course prior to commencing employment.

Required Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

  • Washington Radiologic Technologist upon hire.

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

  • National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.

  • National Registered Technologist - Mammography within 1 year of hire.

  • Dependent on location, prior general radiography experience may be required.

Preferred Qualification:
  • Two (2) years full-time mammography experience.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
