Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our Mammography Team in Illinois. This part-time weekend role runs 8:00am-2:00pm or 8:00am-4:00pm and supports Joliet, Lisle, and Bloomingdale locations. A $7500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Under the Breast Imaging Manager and Radiologist, you will perform mammography procedures, document patient history, ensure radiation safety, and assist with stereotactic biopsies as needed. ARRT Mammography certification is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with advanced certification in Mammography is required.
• Active ARRT certification status maintained by continuing education.
• Illinois State Licensure (IEMA).
• CPR Certification.
• Mammography experience preferred but not required.
• Stereotactic biopsy experience a plus.
• Interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to present required.
• Knowledge of computer-based applications and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge and skills of a mammography technologist and can perform the daily tasks and duties of a technologist, including patient care and completion of clinical exams.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography procedures in a technically proficient manner.
• Corroborate patient's clinical history with procedure and document accordingly.
• Prepare patient for procedures and provide instructions to obtain desired results and reduce anxiety.
• Select and operate breast imaging equipment and related devices.
• Position patient and equipment to best demonstrate area of interest and explain breast compression needs.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Assist with stereotactic biopsies when trained or during training.
