Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Glen Ellyn, Illinois is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality breast imaging procedures under radiologist supervision. You will ensure patient comfort, accuracy of exams, and adherence to department protocols.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT Mammography certification, Illinois licensure, CPR, and strong communication skills. Stereotactic biopsy experience is a plus, with a sign-on bonus of $15,000 for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Mammography experience preferred but not required.
• Stereotactic biopsy experience a plus.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with advanced certification in Mammography is required.
• Active ARRT certification status maintained by continuing education.
• Illinois State Licensure (IEMA).
• CPR Certification.
• Interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to present required.
• Knowledge of computer-based applications, email and standard applications such as Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge and skills of a mammography technologist and can perform the daily tasks and duties of a technologist, including patient care and completion of clinical exams.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography procedures in a technically proficient manner. Follow department protocols and specific radiologist direction.
• Corroborate patient's clinical history with procedure; assuring information is documented in accordance with the department's standards.
• Prepare patient for procedures; providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.
• Select and operate breast imaging equipment and associated devices to achieve desired results.
• Position patient and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest. Explain the need for breast compression while respecting the patient's ability and comfort.
• Apply principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others.
• Experience with stereotactic biopsies and/or willing to be trained to assist with this procedure
