Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem in Arlington Heights, IL, is seeking a Mammography Technologist II to perform routine radiographs and breast imaging under supervision.

You will position patients, adjust equipment, ensure image quality, maintain QA records, and deliver compassionate patient service; travel to affiliated locations may be required.

This full-time role offers a sign-on bonus and competitive benefits; 7:30am to 4pm or 8am to 4:30pm shifts, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school in Radiologic Technology required.
ARRT Mammography certification and current ARRT registration required.
Current Illinois Emergency Management Agency license required.
One‑year experience as a general radiographer is preferred; on‑the‑job training is provided; experience in mammography preferred.
Current CPR certification (BLS) required.
Knowledge of and/or experience in the correct use of body mechanics.

Responsibilities

Operates radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs used by physicians to detect breast cancer.
Positions patients and adjusts X-ray equipment to correct settings for each examination; evaluates film quality.
Tests radiologic equipment and maintains quality assurance records; delivers customer service to patients.
