Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a Part-time Mammography Technologist to provide safe, high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care. You will perform mammography exams per physician orders, ensure patient comfort, and collaborate with a dedicated imaging team in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT-R and ARRT-M certifications, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-M (Mammography) and BLS certifications

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician orders and protocol, confirming patient identity with two unique identifiers.
• Gather relevant history, screen for contraindications, and explain the exam clearly to reduce anxiety.
• Protect patient privacy and comfort while positioning patients and assisting with transfers as needed.
• Review images for quality and completeness, maintain high first-time acceptance rate before release.
• Operate mammography equipment safely and keep it clean per infection control guidelines.
• Complete required QC tests and document results in PACS/RIS and daily charge capture.
