You will prepare rooms, operate equipment, acquire and develop images, and ensure patient comfort while verifying orders and data in the system. The role requires state certification, BLS, and strong communication skills; one year of mammography experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) and Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Washington state Mammography Technologist certification and AART-M registration or willingness to train with two years of radiology experience.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Preferred: at least one year of mammography experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare mammography rooms and operate diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform imaging procedures, develop films, and evaluate image quality.
  • Ensure patient comfort, education, and cooperation during procedures.
  • Verify physician orders and patient information, including contrast media preparation.
  • Maintain strict radiation safety and adhere to MQSA/ACR standards.
  • Document patient data accurately in computer systems and provide excellent customer service.
  • Monitor patient conditions, respond to contrast reactions, and perform safety checks.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and maintain a clean radiology environment.
  • Collaborate with team members, rotate shifts, and assist in various settings including surgery and portable exams.
