Qualifications

Responsibilities

Role Overview

The Mammography Technologist I provides high-quality mammography services in accordance with physician orders, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

Operates radiological equipment, performs diagnostic imaging, develops films, and evaluates image quality. Prepares rooms, maintains safety protocols, and verifies patient identity. Offers patient education, addresses concerns, and ensures compliance with regulations like MQSA/ACR. Inputs accurate patient data into computer systems, maintains confidentiality, and delivers excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and staff.

Ensures radiation safety, performs quality assurance, and responds rapidly to contrast reactions. Adheres to safety, infection control, and OSHA policies. Maintains a clean, organized radiology environment and collaborates effectively with team members, rotating shifts and assignments as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. Must hold a valid Radiologic Technologist license and Basic Life Support certification at hire. Preferred candidates have at least one year of mammography experience and ARRT certification. Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills are essential.
