Job summary

UI Health seeks a Mammography Technologist to join the Diagnostic Team. You will acquire mammography images used for diagnosis and treatment, under supervision of board-certified radiologists. You will work in a busy on-site imaging center with focus on breast health.

The role requires ARRT in Mammography, ARRT radiography registration, Illinois licensure and BLS CPR. Duties include quality QC, patient history intake, education, and compliance with MQSA and infection control policies.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration in radiography (current/valid) as required.
• Illinois licensure in medical radiography (IEMA) current/valid.
• Modality-specific ARRT certification in Mammography.
• AHA BLS CPR certification current/valid.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine mammography imaging exams and procedures.
• Adheres to departmental protocols to obtain high-quality images.
• Educates patients on breast care and explains procedures.
• Operates and navigates electronic medical record systems for imaging.
• Ensures radiation safety per MQSA, TJC, ACR and IDPH standards.
