Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• ARRT registration or certification in medical radiography.
• State licensure in medical radiography (IEMA).
• ARRT Mammography modality certification.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine Mammography Imaging exams and procedures.
• Utilizes department protocols to obtain optimal quality imaging.
• Obtains detailed patient history and medical records.
• Educates patients on breast care.
• Navigates EMR systems used to process imaging.
• Schedules patients for exams and assists with regulatory clerical functions.
• Performs quality control related to mammography equipment.
• Assists in training Mammography students.
• Enforces radiation safety practices.
• Responds to patient and staff service issues.
• Complies with MQSA, Joint Commission, ACR, IDPH and infection control policies.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

ARRT Registered in Medical Radiography

Illinois Radiography Licensure (IEMA)
