Job summary

The ideal candidate has 2 years of mammography experience, an active NYS radiographic license, ARRT(R) and ARRT(M) certifications (M must be obtained within 12 months), and BLS. A $10,000 new hire bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a mammography technologist or equivalent in radiology.
• Graduate of an approved school of radiography.
• Current NYS License in Radiographic Technology (R).
• ARRT (R) Certification.
• ARRT (M) Certification required within 6–12 months of hire.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Operate mammography and stereotactic biopsy equipment per protocol.
• Maintain inventory and assist with supplies and cost control.
• Assist and train staff on systems/equipment and department procedures.
• Greet patients, triage and assist during exams.
• Verify patient history and requisition for exams; ensure correct imaging parameters.
• Process and archive images; input patient data into the practice management system.
• Ensure patient safety and infection control throughout procedures.
