New York Imaging (NYI) seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform routine and diagnostic mammography procedures at our Lake Success, NY location. You will assist with stereotactic biopsies, manage supply orders, and provide clear explanations to patients to ease anxiety while delivering high-quality imaging results.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of mammography experience, ARRT licensure, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• One year of continuous experience in Mammography.
• ARRT licensure required.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with computer applications.
• Daytime weekday availability.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine and diagnostic mammography procedures.
• Assist with stereotactic biopsies.
• Track inventory and manage supply orders.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Adjust exposure factors to produce high-quality images.
• Process and review images for proper identification and quality control.
• Practice radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Orient and train new hires.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.
